Start with a pinch of Salt. Build an empire.

An economy survival server where Java and Bedrock players share one world, one market and one set of leaderboards. Sell to the Saltworks, trade on the auction house, and go as far into the Wilds as you dare.

Addressplay.saltbox.gg

Java 26.1 - 26.3 and Bedrock, the same address on both.

Checking who is online

The further out you go, the more you can lose, and the more you can earn.

One Safe Zone around spawn where your base and your items are always protected, and three rings of Wilds beyond it. Every line you cross adds one risk and one reward, and the screen tells you which.

How the world, the Wilds and teams work

Map of the Saltbox worldFour nested squares: the Safe Zone to 1,000 blocks from spawn, the Frontier to 1,750, the Wildlands to 2,500 and the Deep Wilds to 3,000.spawnDeep WildsWildlandsFrontierSafe Zone3,000 blocks to the edge
  1. A tidy farmhouse with wheat and carrot fields inside a claimed meadow

    Safe Zone

0 to 1,000 blocks from spawn

Risk. Your base and your items are protected. Claims cannot be raided; a player who kills you takes nothing.

Reward. The Saltworks, the shop, claims and Relic cash-in all live here. A complete game on its own.

  2. Two armoured players approaching a raided outpost at sunset

    Frontier

    1,000 to 1,750

Risk. Bases can be raided. Killed? You keep your armour and hotbar.

Reward. Bigger spawner stacks than the Safe Zone allows.

  3. A ruined keep on a hill with a beacon beam, players fighting for the courtyard

    Wildlands

    1,750 to 2,500

Risk. You drop everything when killed. Teleports take 10 seconds.

Reward. Relics worth more Salt, supply drops, and the Hold.

  4. A giant skeletal boss with glowing salt crystals, ringed by players at night

    Deep Wilds

    2,500 to 3,000

Risk. No teleporting out. You walk home, or find a Waystation.

Reward. The best Relics, the richest supply drops, and the Salt Revenant.

An economy that shows its prices.

Everything you can sell has a price card. Nothing in the store gives a gameplay edge, and the playtime currency is never sold.

The Saltworks counter: crates of salt, a jar of glowing Crystals and a board of price cards
  • Salt is the money

Earn it by selling to the Saltworks, filling buy orders, and trading on the auction house. The Saltworks always buys the basics, so the market works even when few players are on.

  • Crystals come from playing

One Crystal for every 10 minutes of active play, up to 60 a day, plus votes, streaks and events. Crystals buy tools, deals and cosmetics. They are never sold for money.

  • A market that shows its prices

Every item carries a price card: what the Saltworks pays now, the best buy order, the cheapest listing and the last sale. Listings are pre-filled with a fair price, and every purchase is locked to the price you saw.

  • Spawners you can trust

Spawners are bought with Crystals, never with cash. Listing one on the auction house goes through escrow, so nobody is scammed on a trade.

  • Relics from the Wilds

Hostile mobs and digs in the Wilds drop Relics. Carry them back to the Safe Zone and cash them in at the Saltworks; the deeper the ring, the better the Relic.

Bedrock is not second-class here.

Phone, console or PC, you get the same world and real menus built for your screen.

  • Real menus, not chest screens

Every menu on Saltbox has a native Bedrock form: the auction house, the shop, selling, orders, homes, events, votes. Nothing is a translated chest GUI.

  • One world, one address

Java and Bedrock players share the same world, market, teams and leaderboards. Your name keeps its dot so everyone knows which edition you play.

  • Tested on a phone before it ships

Every feature is checked on Java, on a Bedrock phone and on a controller before players see it.

Something is always about to happen.

Supply drops, contests, the Hold and the Salt Revenant run on a calendar you can see in game and here.

  • Supply drops

Four a day in the Wilds

Crates fall in the Wildlands and the Deep Wilds at announced coordinates. Three players nearby wake a drop; more players, more crates.

  • Gathering Contest

    Twice a day

Twenty minutes of mining, farming or fishing. Medals by percentile, so a new player can place; everyone past the threshold earns Crystals.

  • The Hold

Saturday 8 pm ET, Sunday 3 pm in alternate weeks

King of the Hill on a keep in the Wildlands. One pot per side, split by time on the point, paid in Deep Relics and Crystals. A twelve-player team gets the same pot a solo winner does.

  • The Salt Revenant

    About three times a week

Every mob killed in the Wilds counts toward waking the boss in the Deep Wilds. Everyone who fights is paid by damage share; the top three get a bonus.

  • Chat games

    Every half hour or so

Unscramble, reaction and Saltbox trivia in chat. One Crystal a win, three wins a day.
